Strathaird House is situated within its own grounds of about 6.50 acres in a spectacular location with southerly views over Loch Slapin towards the islands of Rum and Eigg and beyond to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. 10 miles from the township of Broadford with its supermarkets, restaurants and hotels, the Elgol road takes you past spectacular mountain and loch views.
Strathaird House consists of two accommodations, The Library and The Lodge.
The Library (Sleeps 4) has its own separate car parking area with a spacious hallway, with plenty of room for outdoor clothing after a day on the hills. The Library Lounge with its wood burning stove and enough books to please all interests and fabulous fully equipped Kitchen Diner with sleek grey décor and a big farmhouse table. You’ll find a spacious Master Bedroom with comfortable king size bed and glorious view. You’ll also find a large twin bedroom with single sofa bed and the best view of the Cuillins.
The Lodge (Sleeps 2 plus cot) – For a far-flung romantic getaway with incredible views, this single storey stone and slate extension on the north side of the Georgian House couldn’t be more perfect for a cosy and comfortable stay in all seasons. A unique retreat with traditional Highland pine clad walls, furnished with a combination of antiques and contemporary fittings.
